Email Pastor David
David grew up in the greater Leesburg area. He left the area to attend seminary in 1990 after hearing his call to full-time ministry.  He loves ‘being’ home here in Leesburg. 

David received his A.A. from Lake-Sumter Community College, B.A. in Religion from Florida Southern College (Go ‘Mocs), and M.Div. from Emory University’s Candler School of Theology.  He enjoys cheering on all Florida teams (Favorites include: the Florida Gators, Tampa Bay Buccaneers, and the Tampa Bay Rays) as well as teams from the SEC.

David and his wife, Sherry, have two daughters, Christina and Brittany, (both Leesburg natives) who are married and reside in Hernando County.  They also have a grandson and a granddaughter. 

David enjoys working with other Christian traditions to model church unity. He has been an active Kiwanis Club member for many years.  His greatest passion is helping new and existing disciples of Jesus grow as followers of Jesus.  He is an avid Facebook user (yes, please friend him) and also is on Twitter @prdavidstauffer.  His favorite thing to do is spending time with family.


Office Manager

Email Terri
After four years as church information specialist, Terri became the office manager in December of 2014.  Along with her new management duties, she continues to be responsible for the bulletins, newsletters, various other desktop publishing tasks, and acting as webmaster for the church's website.  Terri and her family joined Morrison in July 2000 and were involved with the current contemporary worship service from its beginning. Terri has a passion for women's ministry and arts ministry.  She is the leader of Connected Women's Ministry and occasionaly leads Bible studies, special women's events, and cardmaking/papercrafting classes.  Terri and her husband, Lee, have two adult children.  Hobbies that enrich her leisure time are scrapbooking, creating cards, and reading.

Email Betsy Mae
Betsy Mae grew up in Leesburg and lives in Fruitland Park with her husband, David, and their children; Dakota and David Jr.  She has been working in childcare and children’s ministry for 15 years.  Betsy Mae has a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in Early Childhood.  She has an Advanced Director’s Credential, Staff Credential and continues to complete various trainings to enhance her knowledge in the field of Early Childhood.  Betsy Mae’s responsibilities encompass children’s ministry and preschool ministry.  She plans children's activities at the church including: Vacation Bible School, Friday Fun Nights, Nursery, Sunday School, and preschool ministry events.  Betsy Mae strives to maintain a positive faith-based learning environment for all children here at Morrison. 


Preschool Director

Jade is the director of Morrison preschool. She has been employed by  Morrison for eight years now. Jade started working at the front desk in the afternoons, and spent time working in each class with each different age until she earned the title Preschool Director. She has an active CDA (staff credential) and Director’s credential.  She is also first aid/cpr certified and maintains a minimum of 20 hours of continuing education each year.  Having the opportunity to work all over the preschool, has enabled Jade to experience what the children need first hand. She tries to use time in the classroom to help guide the choices made for the preschool children and staff!

Email Jared

A native Floridian and long time resident of Leesburg, Jared has a heart for the local community and is passionate about creating an immersive worship environment free from distraction, as a means to reach that community for Christ. Jared spent most of his childhood worshipping at Morrison, and returned as a staff member to share his gifts with audio and visual media with his home church. Jared is a Student of  Valencia College’s Sound and Music Technology program, where he is constantly learning new and better techniques for enhancing worship at Morrison. Another passion of Jared’s is bringing worship and spiritual council to the church’s young members and their friends. Jared uses his musical gifts and leadership on Friday evenings for Uplift, Morrison’s Friday night youth experience.

Email Emily
Emily Givens provides an interactive, safe, and caring environment for Morrison’s youth by planning and attending events and activities which enrich a youth’s faith life. She also produces social media and print publications for her program and works to build relationships with other youth organizations in the area. After graduating from Leesburg High School, she earned a Bachelors in Mass Communications with a specialization in Public Relations from the University of South Florida . During college she spent time in Exeter, England, where she attended Exeter University’s business program and toured the UK and other parts of Europe. After college, she moved to Paris, France to experience the food and culture and to attend the France Langue Language Institute for French.  In her spare time she loves to swing dance, sing, read, and practice the guitar. 

Organist- Choir Director

Jason Joseph was born in Danville, Pennsylvania and relocated to Ocala, Florida in 2009.  He has served as Organist and Choir Director in several different denominations for more than 6 years.  Jason grew up Methodist church and is extremely excited to be serving Morrison United Methodist.
Jason is currently a student at the University of Florida majoring in Music Performance and minoring in Accounting.  He is an active member of the American Guild of Organists and attended it's Pipe Organ Encounter (P.O.E.) in 2012.  He is also a member of the American Choral Directors Association.
Jason's interest in church music began as a young child participating in musical activities at church, school, and taking private lessons.
He has a passion for creating a Christ - centered musical environment where anyone at any age can feel welcome to participate in musical activities if they desire to, because no one is ever too old, or too young.  Jason teaches Organ lessons and Piano lessons to several students.  His oldest ever student was 87 and his youngest was 3.

Josiah Hodge

Josiah grew up in Minnesota, where he and his three sisters were raised in a Christ centered home, and had the opportunity to serve in his church community throughout his childhood. After he discovered a passion for music and followed his calling to serve the Lord through full time ministry, Josiah pursued and attained his B.A. in Modern Music Ministry from Visible Music College in Memphis, TN.  While there, he volunteered on the worship team for a local church, and served as an interim director of worship for several years in his home church while on breaks. He has since served in multiple church communities across the country as a worship leader and member of worship teams.

Josiah and his wif,e McKinley, moved to the Leesburg area to become part of the Morrison community, shortly after the arrival of their first child. They have brought with them a passionate drive to serve the Lord, and they enjoy uplifting the community around them. In his free time, Josiah enjoys spending quality time with 
his family, composing music, biking, archery, and spinning fire poi.

Email Leanna

Leanna has been a member of Morrison for more than four years. She is originally from Massachusetts but has been “in and out” of Florida most of her life.  She serves as an office volunteer, a Monday morning money counter, an usher, and a Jumpstart supervisor.  Leanna is a member of the Marketing Team and, along with her husband, Tom, she sits on the Church Council.
In the summer of 2016, Leanna came out of retirement from a career in various types of communications work to join our staff.  She  has extensive experience working with volunteers.  She hopes to develop the volunteer program further with an emphasis on ownership and fellowship.


Opportunity Shop Manager

Susan was born and raised in Michigan.  After high school she moved to Washington, DC, where she attended a faith-based college. After college, Susan worked for a Fortune 500 company in DC until moving to Florida twenty-three years ago to be closer to her widowed mother.  After relocating to Central Florida, Susan opened her own business which she ran for twenty years.  In the summer of 2016, she joined our team as the Manager for the Opportunity Shop Thrift Store.
In her free time, Susan enjoys going to garage sales, thrift stores, and flea markets.  She also likes doing volunteer work, especially at South Lake Animal Hospital.
